723b18ce3d libgomp, amdgcn: Implement Managed Memory
This patch implements "managed" memory for AMD GCN GPUs in OpenMP. It
builds on the support added to the NVPTX libgomp for CUDA Managed Memory, a
week or two ago.

These features were first posted here a few years ago, as part of a larger
Unified Shared Memory patch series, and then in a slightly changed version just
over a year ago. Hopefully this time the controversial bits have been removed.

Since we do not use HIP we cannot use hipMallocManaged, so this patch attempts
to replicate the same effect by setting the appropriate attributes. This works
on more devices than support proper USM, but still I cannot be sure that the
settings are correct for every device out there (I have tested on gfx900,
gfx906, gfx908, gfx90a, and gfx1100).

The HSA header file update uses the most recent files relicensed for us by AMD,
at the time of the first patch posting. Those files have certainly moved on in
the upstream sources, but I did not ask to get those relicensed.

9e5a9aa490 libgomp: fine-grained pinned memory allocator
This patch introduces a new custom memory allocator for use with pinned
memory (in the case where the Cuda allocator isn't available). In future,
this allocator will also be used for Managed Memory. Both memories are
incompatible with the system malloc because allocated memory cannot share a
page with memory allocated for other purposes.

This means that small allocations will no longer consume an entire page of
pinned memory. Unfortunately, it also means that pinned memory pages will
never be unmapped (although they may be reused). This isn't a technical
limitation; the "free" algorithm could be extended in future, if needed.

The implementation is not perfect; there are various corner cases (especially
related to extending onto new pages) where allocations and reallocations may
be sub-optimal, but it should still be a step forward in support for small
allocations.

I have considered using libmemkind's "fixed" memory but rejected it for three
reasons: 1) libmemkind may not always be present at runtime, 2) there's no
currently documented means to extend a "fixed" kind one page at a time
(although the code appears to have an undocumented function that may do the
job, and/or extending libmemkind to support the MAP_LOCKED mmap flag with its
regular kinds would be straight-forward), 3) Managed Memory benefits from
having the metadata located in different memory and using an external
implementation makes it hard to guarantee this.

35b05a02de build: Derive object names in make_sunver.pl
The recent move of libgfortran object files to subdirs and the resulting
breakage of libgfortran.so symbol exports demonstrated how fragile
deriving object and archive names from their libtool counterparts in the
Makefiles is. Therefore, this patch moves that step into
make_sunver.pl, considerably simplifying the Makefile rules to create
the version scripts.

Bootstrapped without regressions on i386-pc-solaris2.11 and
sparc-sun-solaris2.11, verifying that the version scripts are identical
except for the input filenames.

a49c7d3193 openmp: Add support for the 'indirect' clause in C/C++
This adds support for the 'indirect' clause in the 'declare target'
directive. Functions declared as indirect may be called via function
pointers passed from the host in offloaded code.

Virtual calls to member functions via the object pointer in C++ are
currently not supported in target regions.

6a6d3817af Config,Darwin: Allow for configuring Darwin to use embedded runpath.
Recent Darwin versions place contraints on the use of run paths
specified in environment variables. This breaks some assumptions
in the GCC build.

This change allows the user to configure a Darwin build to use
'@rpath/libraryname.dylib' in library names and then to add an
embedded runpath to executables (and libraries with dependents).

The embedded runpath is added by default unless the user adds
'-nodefaultrpaths' to the link line.

For an installed compiler, it means that any executable built with
that compiler will reference the runtimes installed with the
compiler (equivalent to hard-coding the library path into the name
of the library).

During build-time configurations any "-B" entries will be added to
the runpath thus the newly-built libraries will be found by exes.

Since the install name is set in libtool, that decision needs to be
available here (but might also cause dependent ones in Makefiles,
so we need to export a conditional).

This facility is not available for Darwin 8 or earlier, however the
existing environment variable runpath does work there.

We default this on for systems where the external DYLD_LIBRARY_PATH
does not work and off for Darwin 8 or earlier. For systems that can
use either method, if the value is unset, we use the default (which
is currently DYLD_LIBRARY_PATH).

fb5d27be27 libgomp: Consider '--with-build-sysroot=[...]' for target libraries' build-tree testing (instead of build-time 'CC' etc.) [PR91884, PR109951]
This is commit c8e759b421 (Subversion r279708)
"libgomp/test: Fix compilation for build sysroot" and follow-up
commit 749bd22ddc
"libgomp/test: Remove a build sysroot fix regression" done differently,
avoiding build-tree testing use of any random gunk that may appear in
build-time 'CC', 'CXX', 'FC'.

	PR testsuite/91884
	PR testsuite/109951
	libgomp/
	* configure.ac: Revert earlier changes, instead
	'AC_SUBST(SYSROOT_CFLAGS_FOR_TARGET)'.
	* Makefile.in: Regenerate.

	* testsuite/lib/libgomp.exp (libgomp_init): Remove
"Fix up '-funconfigured-libstdc++-v3' in 'GXX_UNDER_TEST'" code.
If '--with-build-sysroot=[...]' was specified, use it for
	build-tree testing.
	* testsuite/libgomp-site-extra.exp.in (GCC_UNDER_TEST)
	(GXX_UNDER_TEST, GFORTRAN_UNDER_TEST): Don't set.
	(SYSROOT_CFLAGS_FOR_TARGET): Set.
	* testsuite/libgomp.c++/c++.exp (lang_source_re)
	(lang_include_flags): Set for build-tree testing.

49153588ab Remove stale Autoconf checks for Perl
Subversion r110220 (Git commit 03b8fe495d) for
PR25884 "libgomp should not require perl to compile" removed all '$(PERL)'
usage from libgomp -- but didn't remove the then-unused Autoconf Perl check
itself. Later, this Autoconf Perl check appears to have been copied from
libgomp into other GCC libraries, likewise unused.

6c3b30ef9e Support parallel testing in libgomp, part II [PR66005]
..., and enable if 'flock' is available for serializing execution testing.

Regarding the default of 19 parallel slots, this turned out to be a local
minimum for wall time when testing this on:

    $ uname -srvi
    Linux 4.2.0-42-generic #49~14.04.1-Ubuntu SMP Wed Jun 29 20:22:11 UTC 2016 x86_64
    $ grep '^model name' < /proc/cpuinfo | uniq -c
         32 model name : Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2640 v3 @ 2.60GHz

... in two configurations: case (a) standard configuration, no offloading
configured, case (b) offloading for GCN and nvptx configured but no devices
available. For both cases, default plus '-m32' variant.

    $ \time make check-target-libgomp RUNTESTFLAGS="--target_board=unix\{,-m32\}"

Case (a), baseline:

    6432.23user 332.38system 47:32.28elapsed 237%CPU (0avgtext+0avgdata 505044maxresident)k
    6382.43user 319.21system 47:06.04elapsed 237%CPU (0avgtext+0avgdata 505172maxresident)k

This is what people have been complaining about, rightly so, in
<https://gcc.gnu.org/PR66005> "libgomp make check time is excessive" and
elsewhere.

Worth noting is that with nvptx offloading, there is one execution test case
that times out ('libgomp.fortran/reverse-offload-5.f90'). This effectively
stalls progress for almost 5 min: quickly other executions test cases queue up
on the lock for all parallel slots. That's working as expected; just noting
this as it accordingly does skew the wall time numbers.

1459b55d24 libgomp nvptx plugin: Remove '--with-cuda-driver=[...]' etc. configuration option
That means, exposing to the user only the '--without-cuda-driver' behavior:
including the GCC-shipped 'include/cuda/cuda.h' (not system <cuda.h>), and
'dlopen'ing the CUDA Driver library (not linking it).

For development purposes, the libgomp nvptx plugin developer may still manually
override that, to get the previous '--with-cuda-driver' behavior.

e45483c7c4 openmp: Implement OpenMP 5.1 scope construct
This patch implements the OpenMP 5.1 scope construct, which is similar
to worksharing constructs in many regards, but isn't one of them.
The body of the construct is encountered by all threads though, it can
be nested in itself or intermixed with taskgroup and worksharing etc.
constructs can appear inside of it (but it can't be nested in
worksharing etc. constructs). The main purpose of the construct
is to allow reductions (normal and task ones) without the need to
close the parallel and reopen another one.

If it doesn't have task reductions, it can be implemented without
any new library support, with nowait it just does the privatizations
at the start if any and reductions before the end of the body, with
without nowait emits a normal GOMP_barrier{,_cancel} at the end too.

For task reductions, we need to ensure only one thread initializes
the task reduction library data structures and other threads copy from that,
so a new GOMP_scope_start routine is added to the library for that.
It acts as if the start of the scope construct is a nowait worksharing
construct (that is ok, it can't be nested in other worksharing
constructs and all threads need to encounter the start in the same
order) which does the task reduction initialization, but as the body
can have other scope constructs and/or worksharing constructs, that is
all where we use this dummy worksharing construct. With task reductions,
the construct must not have nowait and ends with a GOMP_barrier{,_cancel},
followed by task reductions followed by GOMP_workshare_task_reduction_unregister.

Only C/C++ FE support is done.

c56684fd61 Removal of HSA offloading from gcc and libgomp
This patch removes the generation of HSAIL from the compiler, the HSA
offloading plugin from libgomp and the associated testsuite tests and
infrastructure bits from the respective testsuites.

Apart from removal of the obvious files, I removed bits that I found
by searching for HSA related terms and by re-tracing my steps and
looking at the patches that introduced HSA in the first place. I did
not remove everything these patches brought in, for example:

  - the mechanism to pass offload-target specific info from the application to
the offloading plugin - but the same mechanism is also used to
communicate number of teams and the thread limit to all offload targets.

  - run_func hook in gomp_device_descr stays too, although now it is
not used. If some future offload target would like the ability to
refuse to offload some functions, it can use it. It is easy to
remove as a follow-up if it is considered clutter, though.

  - configure options --with-hsa-runtime=PATH, -with-hsa-runtime-include=PATH
and --with-hsa-runtime-lib=PATH rmeain because GCN uses them too.

  - Surprisingly, GOMP_TARGET_ARG_HSA_KERNEL_ATTRIBUTES (a constant
from gomp-constants.h) appears in the source of the amdgcn libgomp
plugin, although I tend to think that code path is not ever used
and this patch certainly removes it from the compiler.
Nevertheless, it seems it has potential value beyond HSAIL and so
I've kept it, it can of course always be easily removed in the
future of GCN folk abandon it too.

  - I assume constants OFFLOAD_TARGET_TYPE_HSA and GOMP_DEVICE_HSA
need to stay indefinitely too just so that no future offload
    target picks that number.

  - I have kept dg-require-effective-target
offload_device_nonshared_as requirement of thests which have it.

It is quite probable I missed some small HSA artifacts but those
should be easy to remove later as we find them.

0164e59835 build: Use -include instead of conditional include.
Automake and GNU Make both use the endif keyword, which conflicts and
elicits an error for matching if/ifdef and endif.

This patch changes the conditional include to use "-include" to prevent
a warning about a possible empty tmake_file.

47ddb895df aix: Add GCC64 configuration and FAT target libraries.
This patch adds the ability to configure GCC on AIX to build as a
64 bit application and to build target libraries "FAT" libraries in both
32 bit and 64 bit mode.

The patch adds makefile fragment hooks to target libraries that allows
them to include target-specific rules. The target specific rules for
AIX place both 32 bit and 64 bit objects and shared objects
in archives at the top-level, not multilib subdirectories. The
multilibs are built in subdirectories, but must be combined during the
last parts of the target library build process. Because of the way
that GCC bootstrap works, the libraries must be combined during the
multiple stages of GCC bootstrap, not solely when installed in the
final destination, so the libraries are correct at the end of
each target library build stage, not solely an install recipe.

800bcc8c00 openmp: Add basic library allocator support.
This patch adds very basic allocator support (omp_{init,destroy}_allocator,
omp_{alloc,free}, omp_[sg]et_default_allocator).
The plan is to use memkind (likely dlopened) for high bandwidth memory, but
that part isn't implemented yet, probably mlock for pinned memory and see
what other options there are for other kinds of memory.
For offloading targets, we need to decide if we want to support the
dynamic allocators (and on which targets), or if e.g. all we do is at compile
time replace omp_alloc/omp_free calls with constexpr predefined allocators
with something special.

And allocate directive and allocator/uses_allocators clauses are future work
too.

e8e66971cd Add `--with-toolexeclibdir=' configuration option
Provide means, in the form of a `--with-toolexeclibdir=' configuration
option, to override the default installation directory for target
libraries, otherwise known as $toolexeclibdir. This is so that it is
possible to get newly-built libraries, particularly the shared ones,
installed in a common place, so that they can be readily used by the
target system as their host libraries, possibly over NFS, without a need
to manually copy them over from the currently hardcoded location they
would otherwise be installed in.

In the presence of the `--enable-version-specific-runtime-libs' option
and for configurations building native GCC the option is ignored.
