1a2c62212b diagnostics: convert HTML output test plugin to 'experimental-html' sink [PR116792] 
In r15-3752-g48261bd26df624 I added a test plugin that overrode the
regular output, instead emitting diagnostics in crude HTML form.

In r15-4760-g0b73e9382ab51c I added support for multiple kinds of
diagnostic output simultaneously, adding
 -fdiagnostics-add-output=DIAGNOSTICS-OUTPUT-SPEC
 -fdiagnostics-set-output=DIAGNOSTICS-OUTPUT-SPEC
for adding/changing the kind of diagnostics output, supporting
"text" and "sarif" output schemes.

This patch promotes the HTML output code from the test plugins so
that it is available from "-fdiagnostics-add-output=", using a
new "experimental-html" scheme, to allow simultaneous text, sarif
and html output, and to make it easier to experiment with.  The
patch adds Python-based testing of the emitted HTML.

The patch does not affect the generated HTML, which is still crude, and
not yet ready for end-users.  I hope to improve it in followups.

955de3733a libphobos: Run unittest tests with dg-runtest. 
Use `dg-runtest' test driver rather than `dg-test' to run the libphobos
unittest testsuite, same as all other libphobos tests.  This prevents
the tests from being ran multiple times when parallelized.

Set `libphobos_test_name' as well so that all tests get a unique name.

c2ece13931 libphobos: Generate test files for phobos testsuite 
Extracts all public unittests from libphobos/src and emits them as
standalone tests in the testsuite using the tests_extractor script.

Compiling every module in the Phobos library with unittests included is
computationally expensive, and these tests are now only ran when
GCC_TEST_RUN_EXPENSIVE is not empty.

When instead just compiling the unittests and linking in the module
under test, this has been observed to reduce the time spent running the
testsuite by more than half.

a407eada01 libphobos: Organize druntime and phobos tests under common directory 
The druntime and druntime_shared tests are identical, save for one
compiled with `-static-libphobos' and the other `-shared-libphobos'.
Move them to libphobos.druntime/static and libphobos.druntime/shared
respectively.  This has also been done for libphobos.phobos.

c17044e509 d/i386: Add CET TargetInfo key and predefined version [PR118654] 
Adds a new i386 d_target_info_spec entry to handle requests for
`__traits(getTargetInfo, "CET")', and add predefined target version
`GNU_CET' when the option `-fcf-protecton' is used.

Both TargetInfo key and predefined version have been added to the D
front-end documentation.

In the library, `GNU_CET' replaces the existing use of the user-defined
version flag `CET' when building libphobos.

2d812eecc3 d: Increase max parallelism of the D testsuite 
It was noticed that when running the testsuite for gdc and libphobos in
parallel, this was capped at 10 simultaneous jobs each.  Increase this
limit to 128, which enables running for example `make check-d -j48` to
complete in half the time.

b7008552b4 libphobos: Disable libphobos.phobos/std/concurrency.d on macOS 13+ [PR111628] 
The libphobos.phobos_shared/std/concurrency.d test just hangs on macOS
13 and beyond and isn't even termintated after the testsuite timeout is
exceeded.  Thus, more and more concurrency.exe processes keep
accumulating, consuming CPU time for nothing.

To avoid this, this patch skips the test on macOS 13+.  The static test
SEGVs immediately instead, but I'm skipping it too for symmetry.

Tested on macOS 15 (where it becomes UNSUPPORTED) and 12 (where it still
PASSes).

I have no idea what happens on Darwin/arm64, so currently the skipping
is restricted to Darwin/x86_64.

wrong # args: should be "dg-additional-files-options options source dest type"

since the patch forgot to adjust some of the callers.

This patch fixes that.

Tested on i386-pc-solaris2.11, sparc-sun-solaris2.11, and
x86_64-pc-linux-gnu.

fca6d9c12f libphobos, testsuite: Disable forkgc2 on Darwin [PR103944] 
It hangs the testsuite (requiring manual intervention to kill the
spawned processes) which breaks CI.  The reason for the hang id not
clear.  This skips the test for now (xfail does not work).

6cf276ddf2 diagnostics: add SARIF output format 
This patch adds support to gcc's diagnostic subsystem for emitting
diagnostics in SARIF, aka the Static Analysis Results Interchange Format:

by extending -fdiagnostics-format= to add two new options:
  -fdiagnostics-format=sarif-stderr
and:
  -fdiagnostics-format=sarif-file

The patch targets SARIF v2.1.0

This is a JSON-based format suited for capturing the results of static
analysis tools (like GCC's -fanalyzer), but it can also be used for plain
GCC warnings and errors.

SARIF supports per-event metadata in diagnostic paths such as
["acquire", "resource"] and ["release", "lock"] (specifically, the
threadFlowLocation "kinds" property: SARIF v2.1.0 section 3.38.8), so
the patch extends GCC"s diagnostic_event subclass with a "struct meaning"
with similar purpose.  The patch implements this for -fanalyzer so that
the various state-machine-based warnings set these in the SARIF output.

The heart of the implementation is in the new file
diagnostic-format-sarif.cc.  Much of the rest of the patch is interface
classes, isolating the diagnostic subsystem (which has no knowledge of
e.g. tree or langhook) from the "client" code in the compiler proper
cc1 etc).

The patch adds a langhook for specifying the SARIF v2.1.0
"artifact.sourceLanguage" property, based on the list in
SARIF v2.1.0 Appendix J.

The patch adds automated DejaGnu tests to our testsuite via new
scan-sarif-file and scan-sarif-file-not directives (although these
merely use regexps, rather than attempting to use a proper JSON parser).

I've tested the patch by hand using the validator at:
  https://sarifweb.azurewebsites.net/Validation
and the react-based viewer at:
  https://microsoft.github.io/sarif-web-component/
which successfully shows most of the information (although not paths,
and not CWE IDs), and I've fixed all validation errors I've seen (though
bugs no doubt remain).

I've also tested the generated SARIF using the VS Code extension linked
to from the SARIF website; I'm a novice with VS Code, but it seems to be
able to handle my generated SARIF files (e.g. showing the data in the
SARIF tab, and showing squiggly underlines under issues, and when I
click on them, it visualizes the events in the path inline within the
source window).

Has anyone written an Emacs mode for SARIF files? (pretty please)

185b307b03 darwin, d: Support outfile substitution for libphobos 
In the gdc driver, this takes the previous fix for the Darwin D
bootstrap, and extends it to the -static-libphobos option as well.
Rather than pushing the -static-libphobos option back onto the command
line, the setting of SKIPOPT is instead conditionally removed.  The same
change has been repeated for -static-libstdc++ so there is now no need
to call generate_option to re-add it.

In the gcc driver, -static-libphobos has been added as a common option,
validated, and a new outfile substition added to config/darwin.h to
correctly replace -lgphobos with libgphobos.a.

5fee5ec362 d: Import dmd b8384668f, druntime e6caaab9, phobos 5ab9ad256 (v2.098.0-beta.1) 
The D front-end is now itself written in D, in order to build GDC, you
will need a working GDC compiler (GCC version 9.1 or later).

GCC changes:

    - Add support for bootstrapping the D front-end.

These add the required components in order to have a D front-end written
in D itself.  Because the compiler front-end only depends on the core
runtime modules, only libdruntime is built for the bootstrap stages.

D front-end changes:

532fae74c3 libphobos, testsuite: Add prune clauses for two Darwin cases. 
Depending on the permutation of CPU, OS version and shared/non-
shared library inclusion, we get can get two warnings from the
external tools (ld64, dsymutil) which are not actually GCC issues
but relate to the external tools.  These are alrrady pruned in
the main testsuite, this adds them to the library.

5a0aa603b2 d: Merge upstream dmd 3b808e838, druntime 483bc129, phobos f89dc217a 
D front-end changes:

 - Explicit package visibility attribute is now always applied to
   introducing scopes.

 - Added `__traits(totype, string)' to convert mangled type string to an
   existing type.

 - Printf-like and scanf-like functions are now detected by prefixing
   them with `pragma(printf)' for printf-like functions or
   `pragma(scanf)' for scanf-like functions.

 - Added `__c_wchar_t', `__c_complex_float', `__c_complex_double', and
   `__c_complex_real' types for interfacing with C and C++.

 - Template alias parameters can now be instantiated with basic types,
   such as `int` or `void function()`.

 - Mixins can now be used as types in the form `mixin(string) var'.

 - Mixin expressions can take an argument list, same as `pragma(msg)'.

 - Implement DIP1034, add `typeof(*null)' types to represent `noreturn'.

 - `pragma(msg)' can print expressions of type `void'.

 - It is now an error to use private variables selectively imported from
   other modules.  Due to a bug, some imported private members were
   visible from other modules, violating the specification.

 - Added new syntax to declare an alias to a function type using the
   `alias' syntax based on the assignment operator.

 - Function literals can now return a value by reference.

Phobos changes:

 - Synchronize C bindings with the latest port fixes in upstream druntime.

 - Added alias for a `noreturn' type in object.d

 - Make use of the new `pragma(printf)' and `pragma(scanf)' pragmas, fix
   all code that got flagged as being incorrect.

 - Fixed code that relied on bugs in the D import package system.

fdfcb5353c libphobos: Build all modules with -fversion=Shared when configured with --enable-shared 
The libgdruntime_convenience library was built with `-fversion=Shared',
but the libphobos part wasn't when creating the static library.

As there are no issues compiling in Shared code into the static library,
to avoid mismatches the flag is now always present when --enable-shared
is turned on.  Libtool's compiler PIC D flag is now the combination of
compiler PIC and D Shared flags, and AM_DFLAGS passes `-prefer-pic' to
libtool unless --enable-shared is turned off.

libphobos/ChangeLog:

	* configure.ac: Substitute enable_shared, enable_static, and
	phobos_lt_pic_flag.

5a36cae275 d: Merge upstream dmd 609c3ce2d, phobos 3dd5df686 
D front-end changes:

 - Contracts for pre- and postconditions are now implicitly "this"
   const, so that state can no longer be altered in these functions.

 - Inside a constructor scope, assigning to aggregate declaration
   members is done by considering the first assignment as initialization
   and subsequent assignments as modifications of the constructed
   object.  For const/immutable fields the initialization is accepted in
   the constructor but subsequent modifications are not.  However this
   rule did not apply when inside a constructor scope there is a call to
   a different constructor.  This been changed so it is now an error
   when there's a double initialization of immutable fields inside a
   constructor.

Phobos changes:

 - Don't run unit-tests for unsupported clocks in std.datetime.  The
   phobos and phobos_shared tests now add -fversion=Linux_Pre_2639 if
   required.

 - Deprecate public extern(C) bindings for getline and getdelim in
   std.stdio.  The correct module for bindings is core.sys.posix.stdio.
